Extraction Method: CO2 Extraction
INCI: Hippophae rhamnodes oil
A highly prized oil typically used in skin care. It can be applied directly to the skin (up to 10% with other oils) or included within skin care preparations. This oil contains essential fatty acids, carotenes, tocopherols, and phytosterols. It is a concentrated oil, and we suggest to use sparingly. The sea buckthorn oil offered by Soap & More processed by the C02 extraction whereby no heat is used. The entire berry with seeds are used.
This particular oil will solidify if exposed to low temperatures, and it is best left at room temperature. Some mild staining of the skin may occur; this is temporary and washes off easily. Use a hot water bath when this occurs to bring it back to a liquid state.
Use caution spread evenly and dilute. Usage rate 5 to 10%
Absorption: Absorbs into skin at average speed, leaving a slightly oily feeling on the skin.
