Beeswax is one of the worlds most used renewable, all natural products, with no additives or fillers. It is safe enough to eat, use in cosmetics, and is most recognizable as a clean burning & bright fuel source in candles. Unlike most of the manufactured paraffin candles, beeswax is hypo-allergenic, great for people with allergies or other sensitivities and for those of us who want a safe, clean burning candle in our home.

Soy has quickly become a healthier wax alternative to paraffin! In recent years, soy and vegetable wax has been culminated and implemented in candle development. Soy wax components are completely non-toxic. Soy candles last 50% longer than candles made of petroleum-based paraffin, a common ingredient found in most candles. They also burn slower and cooler (helping to better distribute fragrance), are non-toxic, less likely to trigger allergies, clean up with soap and hot water, and produce very little soot. These factors tend to make them more animal and child-friendly than traditional candles.  Containers may vary.  2 hrs $45.00 + GST

Mineral Makeup Eyes: NEW & IMPROVED Learn to craft your own mineral makeup for eyes. Mineral makeup is all natural and being touted as something that can actually help your skin. Cosmetic companies are marketing it by different names, but they all have a common ingredient - minerals. "Mineral makeup" takes its inspiration from minerals and inorganic pigments that exist in nature. Many combination's of these colored minerals (mica, titanium dioxide, zinc, iron oxides, and ultramarine pigments) can be created to make cosmetics. A leading cause of prematurely aged skin is the heavy and constant application of the harsh synthetic ingredients used in commercial makeup products today. Ideally, your skin care would consist of no makeup. In this class you will learn to make eye shadow with colors of your choice and creation, brow shader used as a highlighter around the brow bone, upper cheeks and under eye, powdered eyeliner that can be applied wet or dry and cosmetic brush concentrate to be used with water as a natural cleaner with no detergent ingredients. You will have a choice to formulate with shimmery mica or a matte base. Participants are asked to bring their favorite eye shadows & eyeliners for color comparisons.

Mineral Makeup for Lips: Learn to craft lip care products using minerals and pigments. Create smooth, long-lasting lipstick with the moisture and silky feel of lip balm, all naturally! Health Canada has found lead in some lipsticks for sale in Canada but the agency says the levels do not post a health risk for consumers.  Although their safety lead levels may be low, why add to the growing amounts of unsafe body care ingredients.  Why not learn how to make your own? Lipstick does end up being consumed after all. Also in this workshop, learn to make exfoliating lip scuff. A moisturizing lip care product that gently exfoliates to help remove dead skin cells, leaving the lips feeling smooth & soft. We'll craft a soothing lip conditioner that contains rich nutrient oils to nourish and repair lips.

Natural Personal Hygiene: Every day we apply various hygiene products to our bodies without thinking about the ingredients in those products. In this workshop you'll learn to make natural deodorant without the harmful antiperserant ingredients, tooth paste without SLS or fluoride, natural detergent-free soap and exfoliating facial scrub. We have to keep in mind that not only are our bodies absorbing the products we use but so is the environment. Learn to keep clean, green!

Eco-Friendly Green Home Care Products:  Participate in crafting green home cleaning products using pure essential oils and other natural ingredients such as orange oil, sodium per-carbonate, a chlorine free form of peroxide, naturally extracted beeswax, vegetable based liquid castile soap, which does not contain any phosphates or detergents to harm your skin or the environment, baking soda and so much more! These non-toxic alternatives to synthetic cleaning products have been proven to benefit your health and the environment. Not to mention how cost effective these alternatives are to commercial finished products. All of the products made in this workshop are environmentally friendly and biodegradable!  Take home an all-purpose spray cleaner for stainless steel, chrome, kitchen and bathroom counters, detergent free laundry powder without all those fillers (so you use less) that can also be used as a pretreatment for removal of grass stains, grease and dirt. Also, make a fabric softener for your wash, silicone-free wood polishing paste to revitalize any piece of wood furniture. It also aids in the repair of small scratches on wood surfaces without causing discoloration.  Added to all this, a fantastic tub and tile cleaner made with bacteria and fungus fighting essential oils, imagine a cleaner that is gentle on your skin and lungs. This gentle, mildly abrasive scrub will not scratch surfaces and leaves behind a wonderful fresh scent.  Finally a linen spray to f reshen up your home and fabrics. Tips and formulas for other household cleaning jobs are provided in our take home recipe section of this workshop guide.  2   hrs $50.00 +GST

Baby Products: Promote the health and well being of yourself and your child. In this workshop you will learn to craft natural melt and pour soap, soothing diaper ointment, talc-free absorbing dusting powder, rich soothing baby lotion without chemicals or synthetic preservatives, and non-petroleum baby massage oil. Take home a recipe for chlorine free baby wipes, great for at home or on the run! 2 hours $50.00 +GST

Bath Bombs, Luxurious Truffles, Aromatherapy Bath Salts & Botanical Tub Teas:      A fun class for those of you who want to learn to make exciting fizzing creations, at a fraction of the price. You will make a large batch of deluxe bath bombs, rich luxurious cocoa butter truffles and soothing mineral aromatherapy bath salts. And, now included in this fantastic workshop are fragrant botanical bath tub tea bags! We use your favorite fragrant and colorful herbs and spices in a large heat and seal tea bag for soaking in your tub! Participants are asked to bring a shoe box to bring home their goodies!

Complete Face Care:  L earn to craft your own facial care regime with natural and rejuvenating ingredients including, natural SPF sun protection. Attend this 2 hour workshop and go home with, a face mask containing yogurt powder, a spot treatment for those surprise acne, a gentle facial scrub cleanser with green tea, oatmeal and more, a botanical facial toner without alcohol, a night oil with options for natural, dry or oily skin, a caffeine roll on stick to help reduce eye puffiness and help hydrate under the eyes and a day cream that is so full of vitamins and nutrients, one wants to smooth it all over! This face cream contains Glycolic acid for that extra skin rejuvenation.(The lotion is on a participatory basis due to the blender requirement) . Therapy for Feet & Hands: Say goodbye to tired legs, feet and rough cracked hands. Learn to make a soothing antibacterial hand & foot soak, herbal salt scrub, soothing leg, foot and hand cream, anti-fungal foot powder and a cuticle soak. (The cream is on a participatory basis due to the blender requirement) You will also receive a recipe for body sugaring to try at home. 2 hrs $55.00 + GST

Natural Melt & Pour Soap Crafting: We are proud to carry a natural melt and pour base. Our soap is 100% natural there are no detergents/surfactants/sulfates. All soap bases contain Saponified Vegetable Oils (mainly coconut) Glycerin (kosher, of vegetable origin) Purified Water, Moisturizer & Emulsifier. Learn to craft layered soap, stained glass soap, embeds in soap, exfoliating soap, herbal soap and more. 2 hrs $50.00 +GST

Just for Men Products: Men like natural body care products as much as women do. You will craft natural deodorant, body lotion, and an absorbent anti fungal foot powder to absorb sweat, aftershave and a tired sore muscle soak.  2 hrs $50.00 + GST

Lip Saver, Salves & Solid Massage Bar: This workshop teaches the art of crafting non-petroleum non-animal lip balm with the most luxurious ingredients i.e. hemp oil. The salve formula varies depending on the season. The massage bar is fantastic and makes a great gift! Take home 3 lip balms, 1 salve and 1 massage bar.

Lotions, Potions & Body Butters: This has been requested by so many customers that we decided to share our knowledge with you. Learn to craft a lotion with a silky feel that absorbs very well, a rich cream and a body butter using only the best ingredients like shea butter and mango butter. The potions portion of the workshop deals with essential oils and their properties to feed and treat the skin. Revitalize and nourish your skin. Only the best for our bodies! Take home a lotion, a cream and body butter. (The lotion & cream portion is on a participatory basis due to the use of a blender)

Soap, Soap, and Soap 1 Basics: Learn to make your own soap from scratch. You will learn about the chemistry of soap from experienced soap makers. All the tricks of the trade are discussed in this hands-on workshop. You will learn what tracing is, how to super-fat and scent your soap. Take home 3 large bars of soap and recipes for a variety of body soaps. Take Soap, i11 for advanced Soap makers where you learn how to add exfoliants,flower petals, and learn the newest techniques of swirling colors and layering.  In the winter months we ask you to bring a blanket to keep your soap insulated. Soap, Soap, Soap 2 advanced: We noticed that the initial soap, soap, soap was too long and detailed so we decided to add a second advanced workshop  In this class you will learn to swirl, layer, plus add botanicals and exfoliates to your soap. This is a hands on workshop. You should already know what tracing & super-fatting are as well as how to scent your soap. Take home 3 large bars of soap and recipes for shampoo bars and more. We recommend taking Soap, Soap, and Soap 1 to learn the basics.  In the winter months we ask you to bring a blanket to keep your soap insulated. No minors allowed, no exceptions 2 hrs $45.00 + GST

Soap 1 & 2:  After a great deal of demand we have decided to combine beginners and advanced soap in one workshop.  Participants craft 2 batches of soap (2 lbs) and we include all the bells and whistles.  Of course there is quite a bit of information in this workshop so come prepared to learn it all. 3 to 3.5 hrs $85.00 +GST

Spa for Teens: (mother daughter teams welcome!) Teens are just as concerned with their bodies and what goes on them as adults are. Craft a moisturizing facial mist spray, a nourishing lip balm, goats milk cleansing powder, a natural toner and a silky aromatherapy lotion. 1.5 hours $35.00 +GST

Luxurious Spa Products:  This workshop is for those of you who would like to formulate your own exotic spa products. Learn to create a Cleopatra  body butter, an Oriental Sugar or Salt Body Polish, a glove moisturizing overnight spa experience (gloves provided) and an aromatherapy massage oil. You will make four luxurious spa products to use yourself or give as a gift. You will also get a recipe for an herbal body wrap to try yourself at home! 2 hrs $55.00 +GST

Natural Pet Products: Make natural pet products such as dog shampoo (using a natural base), paw balm, and a healing herbal aromatherapy mist. 2 hrs $45.00 +GST

Liquid Soap from Scratch: Learn to make liquid soap from natural ingredients for your family or for household cleaning. Liquid soap is versatile and all natural; it combines pure ingredients in a rich body wash, hand wash,  shampoo or for home-care cleaning products without any harsh chemicals! Lathers beautifully and rinses clean.  

1.5 hrs $65.00 + GST

SPF & Bug Products: In this workshop we formulate lip gloss, lotion and bronzing lotion with natural SPF properties. Sun light consists of radiation with differing wavelength: UV-radiation, infrared radiation and visible radiation. Concerning skin damages and sun protection, the UV-radiation is important. UV-radiation consists of UVA (320-400 nm), UVB (280-320 nm) and UVC (190-280 nm). UVC is the most dangerous radiation, but fortunately it is mostly absorbed by the ozone layer within the stratosphere and does not reach the earth's surface, unless the ozone layer is damaged. Your skin type play a huge part in how the sun rays damage the skin. Why not use skin care products that contain SPF properties to play it safe! Also covered in this workshop is essential oils that really work in a bug spray. West Nile exists so let's try and use natural ingredients to protect ourselves .  1.5 hours $50.00 + GST

Healing Herbs for Ointments & Salves:  Learn to craft non petroleum products, without using chemical based fungicides or similar dangerous chemicals. We use macerated herbs, carrier oils, beeswax and essential oils!  Scheduled just in time for spring, we encourage our customers to try growing their own therapeutic herbs this summer to use fresh in their special salves! In this workshop you'll learn the basics of working with carrier oils such as Hemp, Jojoba and Aloe Vera along with therapeutic essential oils. Go home with a headach stick, a fungal ointment, a healing balm, and chest balm as well as many at home remides. We have added black salve to the mix which has been around as a drawing salve for many years!
