Shipping Methods: All quotes are based on the size, weight and destination of the order placed. Quotes will be provided after the order has been picked from our warehouse unless specified to just ship without a quote. Quotes are provided on behalf of Canada Post, UPS or Greyhound Courrier Express. If requesting Greyhound, please advise the station location as they do not ship to every small town. All shippers offer several options with varying delivery times. UPS does not deliver to PO boxes, so keep this in mind when requesting UPS shipping.
We do not surcharge Canada Post, UPS or Greyhound shipping rates. We do however charge $3.50 for handling & packaging. (see details below)
Handling: A $3.50 base handling fee is applied to all shipped orders. The base handling fee includes processing and handling for the first two boxes for your order. For larger orders, $2 will be charged for each additional box required to safely ship your order regardless of Canada Post shipping method. Handling fees may be higher on exceptionally large orders. Palletized orders incur a pallet charge of $15 per pallet. An additional $2.50 handling fee is charged if a change is made to an order that is scheduled to ship on the date that the change is requested.
Dangerous Goods: If an order includes lye, it will be shipped seperately via UPS as they are the only certified dangerous goods handlers. We can only ship a maximum of 2 kilos (4.4 pounds) and the order may be subject to additional handling fees. A detailed quote will be provided prior to shipping.
Orders made on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or on holidays, will not be shipped until the next business day, as Canada Post does not ship on weekends or holidays. Long weedends also delays shipping as we are closed during this time. Friday orders may be filled on the same day however Canada Post may not send it through their system until the following business day. (During the busy Christmas season we would ask our valued customers to place any large orders by noon on Friday to be picked up at the store on Saturday so we can have it ready and can avoid keeping your or other customers waiting, this would be greatly appreciated) Also during the Christmas season from October on we are very busy and expect some delays in shipping orders out as well as some Canada Post delays. We apologise for these delays and ask for your patience.
International Customers & Brokerage/Customs Fees: International customers are responsible for any and all customs duties, taxes and brokerage fees that the package may incur. We are not able to determine the amount of these fees before shipping to you. Shippers will not deliver your order unless these fees are paid in full. Any order returned to us due to non-payment of brokerage and customs fees will be subject to our cancellation fee and the return shipping fee. In our experience Canada Post does not charge customs duties however.
Large Shipments: For unusually large orders, orders containing bulk glassware, or other orders that require us to ensure that the risk of damage is minimized; we reserve the right to ship your delivery by trucking service. We will notify you in advance of all applicable costs, including lift gate service and pallet charges.
