A natural exfoliant of unrivalled strength and a staple of good Mediterranean grooming, the loofah is, like pomegranates and jasmine shrubs, at once sensuous in effect and ungainly in appearance. The fibrous, cylindrical off-white sponge is in fact the dried-out vein network of a notably phallic fruit, related to the cucumber. Our new soap beveller will make quick work of beveling your soap bars. Much easier, faster and more accurate than a veggie peeler, and has no dangerous blades to worry about. The cutting wire will never get dull like most blades and the recycled plastic material makes it very easy to clean.
To use,simply place the bar tightly into the "corner" and then pass it across the cutting wire for a perfect bevel every time. We made our beveller to make a bevel (approximately 1/16") which gives a nice bevel without "sacrificing" hardly any of the bar. The "waste" is a very small sliver.
