Silica Microspheres

Silica is a mineral found all over the planet -- in sandstone, clay, granite, even in plants and animals! It is the main ingredient in glass.
In cosmetics, it has many uses:
It is an oil absorbent
It improves "slip" (how the product feels going on)
Because of their spherical shape our silicas also scatter light and blur the look of fine lines and wrinkles.
We would suggest experimenting with Silica at 1% - 15% by weight of the formula for a powdered product.
If you haven't tried working with silica in your formulary yet, we encourage you to sample some. It really improves the performance and feel of the product and it is a very natural addition to the ingredients list.

It used as in steam inhalation that clears the chest of respiratory difficulties fairly quick. Epsom salt is a cost effective alternative to artisan salts; think of them like grapes in fruit salad! An easy measurement for working with epsom is 2 parts epsom to 1 part dead sea salt or other salts.
A note of caution: Do not take an epsom salt bath if you have high blood pressure or a heart or kidney condition. And remember, the information is intended for general reference purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice or a medical exam. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health professional before starting any new treatment.

Before you start running the bath water, close your bathroom door to keep the steam in.
You want the bathroom to be as warm and comfortable as possible. As you start running the bath water, set the water temperature as hot as you can stand.
Spread the epsom salt evenly across the bottom of the tub, rather than allowing it to pile up in one small area. It should be completely or almost completely dissolved by the time you're done running the bath water. When the water reaches your desired level, turn off the tap.
